Palmer's career has spanned three continents in news, current affairs and entertainment journalism; she has worked for CNN and AP TV and served as European foreign correspondent for the Seven web in Australia.

Palmer will head the entertainment department at Al-Jazeera Intl., writing and producing entertainment shows, hosting some of them and leading the creative team in covering international entertainment for the network.
